Local Pipe Producer Offers Top Quality at Very Attractive Prices

Konti Hidroplast produces all types of piping for sewage, gas and water systems, and exports 92.6% of its products to regional markets as well as the EU.

Boris Madzunkov, General Manager, says, “Our production standards are equal to those of the EU. We use German materials and German, Italian and English machinery. We have found our market niche because we can offer products that meet the highest EU quality standards yet are inexpensive.” He adds that Konti Hidroplast could boost its sales by at least a third if Macedonia were an EU member, since many projects in the EU will only use materials produced in EU countries.

Konti Hidroplast can afford to ship its products approximately in range of 800 to 1,000 km from Macedonia because of the high transportation costs. In spite of the challenges, Boris Madzunkov praises Macedonia as a business base. He says, “Macedonia is a great place to invest in because of this country’s highly educated human resources and business friendly government.”
